Mining
Automatic remote monitoring improves mining safety, reduces environmental risks, and builds trust with stakeholders. We provide automated measurement solutions for the entire lifecycle of mining projects, from preliminary studies to remediation. Our expert team has decades of experience in real-time monitoring in mining environments, including tailings ponds, open pits, waste rock areas, and the surrounding natural environment.
Dam safety
Remote monitoring of tailings ponds is essential tool for dam safety, anticipates disturbances, and prevents safety risks. We design and implement professional installations for measuring water level, flow rate, pore water pressure, and seepage. Monitoring the performance of dam structures can also be supported by, for example, temperature profiles, settlement measurements, and displacement measurements.
We work closely with responsible designers from the early stages of a project. This ensures measurements that are effectively targeted, correctly installed, and reliable.
Open pits and tunnels
We carry out geotechnical and hydrogeological online measurements at open pit mines using reliable and cost-effective methods. Our measurement portfolio for open pits includes, among others, pore water pressure, displacement, and deformation measurements. We apply globally advanced and innovative monitoring equipment — for example, Worldsensing’s next-generation GNSS meters.
Monitoring data from our stations can easily be integrated with, for example, radar- and satellite-based data from various providers. Our measurement service always includes an open API for users at no additional cost.
Environmental monitoring
Automating monitoring enhances environmental monitoring, accelerates the identification of disturbances, and improves the accuracy of load calculations. Reliable flow data is a critical input for environmental impact assessment and reporting. We design and implement flow measurements professionally for ditches, rivers, streams, and pipelines of various sizes.
We deliver water quality measurements as a complete service and offer industry-leading In-Situ handheld meters for field measurements of water quality. Sampling and laboratory results can also be easily imported alongside automatic measurements via an interface from various providers, for monitoring, reporting, and calculation purposes.
Waste rock areas
During the closure and remediation phases of extractive waste areas, remote monitoring reduces manual fieldwork, provides additional information on the performance of structures, and improves environmental safety.
At closed mine sites, monitoring areas typically relate to water balance management, cover structure performance, and structural stability. Parameters measured include, among others, moisture, temperature, oxygen content, displacements, and flow rates.
